Local area
The region of Murcia offers things to do whatever the weather. The unspoilt coast of the Mar Menor is a 15 minute drive away and offers a number of beaches including Los Alcazarez, Lo Pagan and Santiago de la Ribera. There are also ferry trips around the Mar Menor and to the La Manga strip for around 8 Euros.
For those who enjoy walking and cycling the route of Calblaque to Cala Reona is one of the few areas along the Murcian coast that still conserves its natural state. The untouched coastline is a Regional Nature Reserve and includes arid mountains, fossil dunes, golden beaches and beautiful blue sea.
There are many nearby towns to visit including the historical port of Cartagena and the ancient city of Murcia. The local town of Sucina (two minutes drive away) has a number of facilities including banks, shops and a small number of bars and restaurants.
For the family, there are a number of entertaining things to do including Torrevieja Aquapolis, Terra Natura wildlife park, and Murcia Go Karting. There are also various places for watersports and horse riding.
